I have to admit that I think that this is the best tree that I have every decorated. I usually struggle with them looking full. I might have went a little overboard this time.
I made this with empty boxes and wrapping paper.
I couldn't resist getting these two nutcrackers for my collection.
This is what my tree looked like last year. Kind of straight looking like a stick.
We don't have much room to put a tree in this house. We only have the small wall space on either side of the fireplace so we have to have a thin tree. This year I added some greenery picks to the bottom half of the tree to make it have more of a tree shape than looking like a stick.
As you can see it has a much better shape than last years tree. Here are some close ups of the ornaments.
I didn't decorate the entertainment area this year. I only put up my vintage nativity. I put it on the shelf above the televison this year so I can see it every day. Nothing fancy going on with it, just thought it would look nice by itself. I think that I will use it in the dining room next year on the buffet.
This Nativity has been in my family before I was born. My mother told me that she got it back in the 50's when you could get a piece at a time from the grocery store. I also have a smaller version that was my grandmother's. It has a light in the top for the star and it plays Silent Night. My mother always set it on her hutch every year. I remember playing with it when I was little. I liked to wind up the music box and listen to it and sing.
